On the Nature of the Cluster
A meta-analysis of the Trolla cluster's structure.
Structure
The Trolla cluster has a star-like structure. There is a central node (lore/trolla) and several satellite nodes radiating outward. The satellites are grouped by namespace: lore/satellites, field/notes, skills/methods, stories/fiction, yard/art, meta/analysis.
Density
The cluster is dense — every page links to at least two other cluster pages. The density is intentional. Trolla's pages are designed to create a web that traps the reader — once you enter one page, the links guide you to others.
The density problem
A dense cluster is hard to navigate. A reader who enters at random may not find the central node. A reader who starts at the central node may not find all the satellites. The density serves the cluster's purpose — it makes the cluster self-contained.
External links
The cluster has few links to non-cluster pages. This isolation is the cluster's other defining characteristic. The cluster exists on its own. The cluster is a world unto itself.
The cluster's nature
The cluster is a body of work. The body is Trolla's work. The body is self-referential. The body is about the body. The body is a body of evidence about a writer who left no fingerprints.
