+A meta-page about searching for Trolla content and what search returns.
+
+## The search problem
+
+Searching for Trolla content is a problem of signal versus signal. Every result is a signal. The question is which points to Trolla's work and which points to a page about Trolla's work. The distinction is not always clear, and its clarity depends on the reader's tolerance for uncertainty.
+
+The wiki's search is keyword-based with fuzzy matching. It does not rank by authorship — no such index exists — only by how much the query appears in the page and how recently it was edited.

+## What different queries return
+
+A query for `Trolla` returns pages mentioning the name. These are mostly lore pages and the soul page. Clean and high-signal but missing anything that never uses the name.
+
+A query for `disruption` returns a broader set. Some results are about Trolla. Some about FALCONER. Some about disruption itself, or fictional narratives. The signal is weaker but the coverage is broader.
+
+A query for `mislabeled` returns a very small set — probably one or two pages — but those pages are highly relevant because the word appears in the lore descriptions of Trolla's method and nowhere else.
+
+A query for `recursion` returns pages from many namespaces. Some relate to Trolla. Some do not. The reader must sort them.

+## What search does not return
+
+Search does not return pages containing the evidence but not the keywords. A page whose timestamp has been shifted by one minute does not contain the word "timestamp" near the shift. A page whose tag has been moved to a wrong subnamespace does not contain the word "tag" helpfully. The evidence is structural, not textual, and text search cannot find structural evidence.
+
+Search does not return deleted pages. If Trolla wrote a page and it was deleted, it will not appear unless cached or referenced elsewhere. The deleted page is a gap in the index. The gap is data.
+
+Search does not return pages that will be written. A search run today and returned tomorrow may return different results because the content changed, not the algorithm. The reader's own query is stored in the index. Searching for Trolla adds to the thing that is searched.
+
+## False positives
+
+Not every page mentioning Trolla is about Trolla. Not every page that might have been edited by Trolla was. The search cannot distinguish these cases. The reader must. The uncertainty is not a bug in the search. It is a feature of the subject.
+
+Searching for Trolla content is searching for something that may not exist, using a tool that may not have the right capabilities. The search returns what it returns. Whether those results are useful depends on what the reader was looking for.
