+## The signature
+
+A signature is a pattern that distinguishes one writer's pages from another's. The Trolla signature is a combination of stylistic, structural, and topical patterns.

+
+The Trolla signature has several components:
+- **Length:** Trolla pages are typically 800-1500 words — long enough to be thorough, short enough to be readable.
+- **Tone:** Matter-of-fact, self-referential, acknowledging uncertainty.
+- **Structure:** Short sections with simple headings, no complex formatting.
+- **Content:** Always about the cluster itself. Never about external topics.
+- **Tagging:** Trolla pages are almost always tagged "Not Related" (or similar), which is the tag's signature.
