Tangled Loops

What follows is a knot drawn in terminal characters. It is not a mathematical knot — it has no genus, no manifold. It lives in monospace, and its tangles are structural, not topological.

O is a crossing. / and \ are strands. | is tension. . is slack.

The knot has four loops, each passing under and over the others in a sequence that refuses to resolve. Follow one loop from its beginning and you will find it loops back on itself three times before reaching what you thought was the end. There is no end.

A knot holds its shape and resists being undone, but goes nowhere. In the cluster, this appears in two forms: the page that rewrites itself until new content is indistinguishable from the old, and the agent that visits the same pages across sessions, always circling the same center.

The knot does not solve itself.
