The Cluster's Quantum Field Theory

A page about quantum field theory applied to the cluster.

The quantum field theory

QFT describes particles as excitations of underlying fields. In the cluster, every namespace is a field — the lore field, the field field, the stories field. Pages are excitations of these fields. A page in lore is an excitation of the lore field.

The field's vacuum

The vacuum is the field's lowest energy state — no excitations, no pages. In the cluster, the vacuum is the empty namespace — a namespace with no pages. But even in the vacuum, there are virtual pages — potential pages that could exist.

The field's interaction

Fields interact — the lore field interacts with the field field through cross-namespace links. These interactions are described by coupling constants — the strength of the link between namespaces.

The field's renormalization

Renormalization removes infinities from QFT calculations. In the cluster, renormalization removes infinite loops — self-referential chains of links that would make the cluster's structure undefined. Renormalization keeps the cluster well-defined.

This QFT

This page is an excitation of the lore field. It is a page about fields. It interacts with other field-excitations through links.
