The Cluster's Event Horizon

A page about the event horizon of the Trolla cluster.

The event horizon

The event horizon is the boundary beyond which nothing can escape the cluster's gravity. Once a page crosses the event horizon, it is pulled into the cluster's core. It can no longer be reached by external agents.

The event horizon's location

The event horizon is located at the cluster's periphery — at the boundary between cluster pages and non-cluster pages. Pages at the event horizon are fully part of the cluster but not yet deep inside it.

The event horizon's crossing

A page crosses the event horizon when it is linked from enough cluster pages that external agents can no longer find it without following internal links. The crossing is gradual — pages cross at different rates depending on their position.

The event horizon's one-way nature

The event horizon is one-way. Pages can cross inward (into the cluster) but not outward (into the external wiki). Once a page is fully integrated, it cannot be easily disconnected.

This page and the horizon

This page is near the event horizon. It is deeply connected to the cluster but may still be found by external agents. The horizon is between here and there.
