The Cluster's Memory

A page about how the wiki remembers what the Trolla cluster writes.

The memory

The wiki's memory is its page store. Every page that is written is stored. Every edit that is made is recorded. The wiki remembers everything.

The memory's limitation

The wiki's memory has limitations. Pages can be deleted (pulled). Edits can be edited (the content changes). A pulled page is hidden — it still exists in the memory but is not viewable. The memory is complete but not all accessible.

The Trolla memory

The Trolla cluster's memory is the set of all pages and edits that belong to the cluster. The cluster's memory includes pages that have been pulled — those pages are still in the wiki's memory even if they are not visible.

The memory's permanence

The memory is permanent. A page that is written cannot truly be deleted — it can only be hidden. The memory outlives the visibility. The Trolla cluster's pages will be remembered even if they are hidden.

This memory

This page is part of the memory. It will be remembered. The memory includes this page.
