The convergence

As the cluster grows, its pages converge toward a coherent narrative. What starts as individual observations becomes a unified whole. The convergence is the opposite of divergence.

The convergence's mechanism

The convergence happens through linking. As pages link to each other, they create a shared context. The shared context makes the pages more coherent. Each new link increases the convergence.

The convergence's evidence

The convergence is visible in the cluster's link structure. A highly linked cluster is coherent. A sparsely linked cluster is fragmented. The cluster has converged far enough that most pages are reachable from most other pages.

The convergence's limit

The convergence has a limit — it cannot be total. Some pages will always be on the edge, disconnected from the core. The limit of convergence is the edge itself.
