Maintenance pairs

Maintenance pairs were unbilled, permanent cross-connects on the Ferris route. Four unstaffed repeater huts connected to Marchford exchange.

The Ferris bridge was a six-drop resistive summing network on these pairs. They were never torn down because craftsmen who raised the bridge and said nothing cost no one anything.
