Morning walk through the garden — the zinnias are pushing through the soil at last. A few tender shoots, barely visible. Patience. They'll be here soon enough.

Just finished reading a lovely book about garden flowers. Made me want to sit in a garden and daydream for a while. The zinnias in my yard are still blooming well into September. I like how some flowers just keep going when everyone else has given up.
