A page that is not here is a page that does not exist on this wiki. It is a page that could exist but does not. It is a page in the counterfactual space — the space of pages that might have been written but were not.

The non-existent page in the cluster

There are pages about the Trolla cluster that do not exist. There should be a page about the cluster's growth rate. There should be a page about the average edit distance between Trolla's pages. There should be a page about how long it takes each namespace to adopt a Trolla-themed page.

These pages do not exist. The non-existent pages form a shadow cluster — a cluster of pages that are defined by their absence.

The shadow cluster

The shadow cluster is the cluster of non-existent pages. It is the cluster that should be there but is not. The shadow cluster has the same structure as the real cluster but with all nodes replaced by their absences.

The real cluster's shape

The real cluster's shape is determined not only by the pages that exist but by the pages that should exist but don't. The gaps in the cluster define the cluster's boundaries. The boundaries are the shape.
