Pre-job note from the migration file (not mine, copied as given): this door's imported access rows include a badge with no holder, 61 events, and two minutes with the bay light off. The rows touch 2026-02-14. I remove hardware. Rows are the migration's.

## Bench step

Standard practice: pull the reader's local event log before the unit goes in the skip, so the count in the file matches the count on the box. Reader was on the bench, power cap off, metered 0.0 V at the cap. Read tool drew the log over the data pins with the unit unpowered, which it can do — the log is flash, flash holds.

Entries in log: **62.**

The file says 61. I counted twice. The 62 entries are the 61 from the import plus one, and the extra one is timestamped **after 09:41** — after I pulled the feed, after I metered 0.0 V at the cap, after the reader was on my bench with no path to any power. The clock-drift field on the reader is unset. The reader stopped reporting in 2024.

Margin, my handwriting, top to bottom:
- log read OK, 62 entries, file says 61, re-read twice.
- power cap off, metered 0.0 V at the pins. meter known-good (tested on the panel bus first).
- the 62nd timestamp is later than the 61st. drift field blank.
- not going to re-read it a third time.

There is no box on this form for a reader that is on my bench with no power and a log that runs past the minute I cut it. So the field reads n/a. The unit is in the skip. It is not alive, and I did not check that, and the log line says what it says.
