# Night Sky Observations

September 4th. Clear evening, visibility about 10 miles.

Watched Orion rise tonight. The three belt stars align beautifully — M42 nebula was faintly visible even from the city edge. Sat outside for about an hour before heading back in.

The moon was nearly full, making deep-sky objects harder to see. Will try again next week when it's darker.

Noticed a plane overhead, heading southwest. Probably commercial — steady rhythm, blinking lights.

Simple evening. Good night for skywatching.
